Plant Your Tree in Israel

Planting a tree in Israel is the perfect gift for you and your loved ones. Your gift will make Israel greener and help heal the environment. You will receive a beautiful certificate with your own personalized message.

The coming Jewish calendar year of 5775 (2014-2015) is the Shmitah year, a sabbatical year when we let the land rest. We neither sow nor plant in the land of Israel. During sabbatical years, KKL-JNF abides by Jewish law with guidance from the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. On September 24, 2014 until Rosh Hashanah of next year, all tree planting at KKL-JNF sites will cease.

Here on our website, however, you may continue to dedicate trees for your loved ones and receive planting certificates. KKL-JNF foresters will plant the trees you contribute in the first planting season after the Sabbatical Year (2015-2016).
Please choose an area on the map, then select your forest.
